Title: 65Trident
Post by: Peelpower on March 16, 2008, 09:01:15 PM
Does anybody knows 65Trident on ebay??
It seems he /she is a Peel owner too, coz he bought an DKW engine. Unfortunately the slow version.
Regards

Perry, probably i found somebody in Bavaria who is restoring 50cc  DKW engines. Im going to sent him an engine after easter and check the result though. As far as i could find out, he still has spare parts in stock

Ferdi,

66Trident. We go wont go there....   Anyway the engine.  I'm hoping it's in good condition and is worth a hundred pounds for the chance  that it is..

Please keep me posted about your rebuild man.

Cheers

66 trident bought my DKW engine, this was a three speed engine with a large head, bigger inlet pipe to take a lager carburettor and a roller bearing small end and was qouted to me as a 4.2 engine by the man who sold it to me at Mannheim. It was a spare engine for my Peel P50 (now sold).
66 trident did not reply to any of the E-Mails I sent him and even gave me a negative responce (later taken off by Ebay) he had the same name as P50 (but I am assured by him it was not him!) This engine has now been sold at the price I paid, to a man that is building a replicar Trident

Thanks for that John. They certainly look like eight inchers in the pictures. There must be someone in rumcars who owns one and can tell us for sure. I will put out a plea.
