Got my copy this morning and have read most of it already. I have to congratulate Stuart for both his RCN through the ages summery article and the mechanical elephants one. I am grateful that my mention in the former came off slightly better that Marcus's who was referred to as "that well known lunatic!" I think he will take that as a great compliment! I really enjoyed the elephants article and thought that it was well researched. Again the 100th was well edited by Tony. Tony mentioned about how he has strived to improve the mag to gain more readers and I think he has improved it beyond recognition over the years. If I were asked to offer constructive criticism which I haven't been but will anyway it would be this, often but not always, the pages dedicated to particular one make registers often and understandably have nothing new to say or report and have to waffle around to fill a page, maybe if there is nothing to report the page could be missed out occasionally to make way for other articles in the Que to be published. It's just an idea. I have to say that the peel and the frisky page were very good this time! I was initially excited to see the pictures of the powerdrive in this issue as I tried to buy this car before Tony somehow managed to blag it , I was disappointed that Tony really just wanted to talk about his Austin Maestro! :D Its great that the Powerdrive was saved but will it ever get restored? All in all another great bumper issue and congrat's to all involved!

I have done, all down my gullet. I've eaten so many that I feel ill.  I'm also into chocy Wagon Wheels as well, they are lovely too.

Mine has not arrived yet, but looking forward eagerly. As for "lunatic" I know Stuart means it in the best spirit! To quote Gilbert Shelton's superb Fat Freddy's Cat:

"Call me Quaxo, call me Jellylorum, call me Coricopat, call me anything you want. Just don't call me late for dinner"   (or beer)

For those who don't know, Fat Freddy's Cat appears in the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers adult underground comics, very funny

mine finally arrived, I normally get mine before many people in the UK for some reason.
not this time.
but well worth the wait.  I have not had a chance to read everything yet as I have a tight deadline I am up against, will probably save it for reading during the NY Auto Show, where we will be showing 4 micros to over a million people.

Of course, I turn right to the "news" section and was extremely disappointed to see the editor having to apologize to the BubbleCar Museum.

Having seen the advert alluded to in a previous issue, I can ONLY interpret that the contents WERE for sale!  Nothing to apologize for.

But aside from that disappointing bit of "news" I was most pleased with the amount of information in this issue.
My favorite part was the "One Offs" but I have not read Stuart's piece yet......

It takes a very long time for mail to reach my isolated hamlet, especially as I am almost one whole mile from South London's biggest sorting office. GRRRRRRRRR

Dear Friends

Well Rumcar just gets better and better and all thanks to the present editor Tony

We all love one offs for their sheer wackiness, sod I did enjoy Tony's compilation of the ones that have come to light.

Having said that I did find Stuarts review of the last 99 editions very enlightening. I thought I was the first person to road test a City EL only to find that I had been pipped at the post by fifteen years. You know what they say, what goes around comes around.

While I keep trying my best, I have to concede that Stuart is a much better scribe than myself when it comes motoring related articles so keep up the good work and it will not be long before we have 101 dropping onto our doorsteps.

Dear Marcus

You were not the only one to forget to pay your annual subscription. I will not name and shame as they have now (only just) coughed up. And there are more yet to remember.

Hello
I'm a new member to the RUMCars Forum.  Thank you!  Traveling to the UK on Thursday June 25th and would like to know of any microcar events.  My interest is as a filmmaker.  Currently, I'm working on a documentary about microcars, owners, and collectors, as well as the entire phenomenon.  Would greatly appreciate input, and perhaps the opportunity to meet with microcar owner/collector interested in contributing their knowledge, possibly to be interviewed for the film. Best to reach me on my email: paul@goodnightnaturals.com

Regards, Paul
