Title: 8 x 4.00 tires?
Post by: adi on September 07, 2009, 12:30:18 PM
Does anyone know where i can get some new tires for the Scootacar? 8x4.00 tires seem to be hard to get, they are either £999999999999999999999+vat each or trailer tires which have a massivly higher profile i think (although granted iv never seen these tires inflated...the scootacars tires are completely shot).

So, anyone know a source of reasonably priced 8x4.00s?

The only source for road-rated 4.00-8 tires that I've ever encountered is Coker Tire.  They reproduce Cushman scooter tires in that size in blackwall and whitewall:

I run a set of the blackwalls on my KV Mini 1.  They aren't cheap but they look nice and work well.  They have the same profile as the now-discontinued Michelin 4.00-8 tires that came with the car.  Michelin still makes 3.50-8 tires if you want a much lower profile.
