Post by: terryparkin on September 28, 2010, 07:21:30 PM
RUMCAR Members are invited to The Micro Maniacs Oktoberfahrt
Rally

15 – 17 October at the Golden Square Caravan Park, Oswaldkirk, nr
Hemsley, York YO62 5YQ

A camping weekend for all bubblecar, microcar and small car enthusiasts
which will include a visit to The North Yorkshire Wartime Weekend.

Friday is the usual get together on site - there are numerous pubs,
chippies, takeaways etc within a few miles of the site.

Saturday we’ll have a drive together through the countryside of North
Yorkshire visiting " French"  village occupied by the Germans, and on
to Pickering for the Wartime Weekend Parade.  Wear 1940’s dress if you
want to and you’ll blend in nicely. For those who haven’t been before
its an excellent friendly event where all the locals join in with the
spirit of it all .
Please Note, no Germans or French were harmed during the production of
this event, apart from sausages and fries.

Saturday evening return to the Rally campsite for quiz and other
attractions.

Sunday, road run together to place of interest or just please yourself
– maybe visit Scarborough or Whitby or Goathland ( filming location for
“Heartbeat” TV series).

Non Members are welcome at our events. Please contact
Jim.jamieson2@virgin.net for more details.)

Thank You

Oh no, it clashes with the post rally NMCR meeting in Derbyshire on the 16th! Then again perhaps it is on the way. Dates, tricky chaps.

Eagled eyed as always Al !.
A shame that two important events have to clash especially in the autumn time when there should be more 'free' weekends.  When we selected the NMCR Review date back in June we were very careful to avoid such a clash.  The MOC are hosting their NEC meeting the following day a bit further south so we ensured that that these events were not on the same day but would compliment each other.
