Title: the land of oz
Post by: richard on January 04, 2011, 08:48:28 PM
surely we must all commiserate with those enduring terrible floods in Queensland, Australia. only a couple of weeks ago i exchanged a couple of emails with fred diiwell and he sympathised with our snow and the big freeze. talking of the evening bbq's, dances and the season of car shows just starting in his part of the world. i do hope he and all others in the old car world are managing ok - cant imagine the heartbreak of the house and garage several metres under filthy water.

Trouble with a flood in Aussie is that rather than bringing in a rat or two it is more likely to provide a salty croc or some poison laden creepy crawly happy to bite you as it is a bit pissed off. Either way it is not a good situation and you wonder who gets the next bit of unusual weather, sandstorms in the Artic perhaps?
