Title: Zeta brake failure causes Historic Ampol Trial car to withdraw from first event
Post by: zetasports on April 19, 2011, 05:21:36 AM
Damm!!! if only I had serviced all the brakes then they wouldn't have started dragging after half a mile.

The Villiers engine was running fairly well for an original 66,000 miles on the clock car!!

But the brakes would have killed the two stroke motor in no time and even thought the brakes relaxed and the car got up to 30 MPH at one stage, we decided to stop while we could and return home for some maintenanc before the next rally in september.

Take a look at my youtube channel robinheath1 for all the videos and photos including historic documents from the Sporting Car Club SA and other interesting stuff Kind regards and have a great day Robin Heath
