Title: daft Trienkel question...

Okay another daft question. When I removed the front axle from the Trojan I cut the brakehoses left and right. I'm having new ones made but have only half the hoses. The other halfs are still on the car that in in lock-up miles away. How long must the flex part be and are the threads on both ends of the hoses the same? If I know that the brake-man can finish his job  ::)
