Hmm,  Doesn't look like it was gelcoated red at Peel.  Was it moulded in white at Peel then sprayed?  Wonder if that P50 rear bumper was on it from the dealer?

Hi Perry,
yes the car was sprayed red by the factory and the body was white.
I don't know anything about the rear bumper, but the car is definately genuine.

Every Peel has a story!!   

Seems there was one or two white tridents that folklore has led us to believe.  I thought all Tridents were moulded in colour though. 

Guess we'll never know! As long as it's the real McCoy it matters not!

Yes they have!!
 A least they were all hand made and thats what they made them unique and beloved.
In 20 years, i did take a lot of information together about the cars finally i did run the first Peel register before Steve and then Andy did it.

Nice to see a Peel that is sprayed a Peel colour and not Yuky Yellow!

My first P 50 i had was D 542 what is now painted in white. It seems it was yellow first, coz the floor panel and the dashboard were yellow before it was painted white, then blue, then red and then white again.
It seems it is bit like the Messerschmitt Tiger. Every car is different and you can't replace bits from car to car.
Anyway, we should love the microcars as they are !  :-X

I happen to like or yucky (or yuky?) yellow thanks very much.   I think you'll find yellow was a P50 colour. Not terribly common but it was listed at a dealer or two.  Sunshine yellow was its name.

I always wondered what the deep moulding was between the seats. A tool tray.

By the way Steve Hurn is still running the Peel section of the Resgister of Unusual Microcars.Andy Carter is just keeping his own records which are very extensive and indeed often helps the Register to fill in gaps in our knowledge. We do not however share current owners names and addresses.
