Title: Germany for Schmitting
Post by: Big Al on June 13, 2013, 08:22:55 AM
Clubnight last night and the tale of the German Schmitt Rally including a drive across the Ede Dam of bouncing bomb raid. Yep, using the media profile and diminutive size of the cars to access what normally cannot be done. 164 Messeschmitts on the road run. Typically efficient event giving value for money.
With Story gone from the rota and my liking for Schmitts it is the only event to be targeting at the moment. With a car that can do that it opens up DWAC's annual event plus some other continental fare yet to have active British attendance like Belgium. For a Southerner that is no further than much of the Yorkshire adventures. Not sure what has happened to this area but very little going on and our national is rubbing shoulders with a one marque event in Germany. Something needs to be done.
