I don't feel quite so guilty now in sharing some Invalid Carriage content.

Bound to be a little flurry of activity initially but don't worry, you non IC viewers.  It will all settle down to normality in a bit.

Enjoy the challenges and ingenuity for now (or just don't look).

I have posted it before many moons ago but that was when IC's were banned!
I was trying to post a specific page from Pathe but it may have gone to the generic search index for Invalid Carriages.
I didn't post the link above last night (on the Vernon thread?)
Anyway - now it is in the right place.  Away from real microcars.

IC's never were banned - they were just put in their place  ;D

Scalextric, its electric moving cars, but fundamentally boring after the third lap of going round the same course. Yet the model car remain a delight whatever track you put them on, don't they Barry?  :-X

Good that you are enjoying our quirky vehicles and harmless banter. 

Bert Greeves progressed the Thundersley Invacar alongside the famous Greeves Scrambling bikes - Greeves Griffon etc.
I used to live close to Thundersley and my friends Dad was a director at Greeves.

I always wanted a Model 70 but could never have one. They all belonged to the government and were only for the disabled.

I am lucky enough to own one of the few that got through the scrapping scheme.  There are only a few left (some would disagree with the word lucky).

Now it has stirred a greater interest in vehicles for the disabled.

Stuart is the real expert for sure.
