Now it can be told; Yes, it was the umbrella of the Invalid Carriage Register which acquired the grand total of thirteen 1960s full-bodied invalid tricycles from the wilds of the Midlands. This is the largest hit that the ICR has yet carried out and those who frequent the M6 on a regular basis may well have seen the combined transporters, under police escort at one point, heading south to ICR Headquarters last weekend.

For now the cars are in secure storage, pending a going-though of each car on its merits. Further details will be announced when the cars are ready to be placed on the public stage. Not shown in the attached pictures are a further four cars removed that same weekend.    8)

I'm kinda disappointed that one of the brave heroes carrying out this mission had his identity compromised by some numpty photographing him with his spoils of war without his balaclava and face paint on.

Dear Stuart

Congratulations on saving so many cars and getting there before Bruce Weiner.

Most of them look as if they are only body shells, is that correct?

I missed this thread, what a great haul! and I am amazed that they escaped the Great Cull. Not really my cup of tea, but great that they may soon live again as they do have reall historical significance.
