I saw that on the BBC site 2 days ago, would have posted it here but had to rush off. Good fun.

Personally I don't think its very much like the child's car. A very poor copy.
-
Yep poor effort

It is also not a micro.

I guess its a case of what ever floats your boat but I just don't understand why he bothered, and especially if he spent what the article said he spent to build it. I could understand motorizing and making road legal a real one but a Matiz? You can buy some very nice microcars with £35k

I took it as read that it was an advertising gimmick for his company Attitude Autos. I can't imagine it cost anything like that to build and I think its horrible, but it's been covered quite extensively by the media, so I guess it served it's purpose. I wonder if the company was behind Richard's Bond abomination?

the forum was quiet with nothing or very little posted that day, the subject is motoring , micro ish at 800cc, a special so i thought suitable for our " off topic " spot . i think your all a bit down on this one - oh well ;)

"ALL" ? !
I thought I was being quite positive..."Good fun". And I stand by that. Wind-in-the-hair motoring, which I LOVE, a reliable "platform" on which it is built, and a giggle for any that see it. True, it is not accurate and you can pay a lot less (in time and money) and still get the same fun.
Any good ideas what would be a good platform for a road going Fred-Flintstone car?!
-
Flintstone - You should start with one of my Invacar 70 rolling chassis (but don't tell Stuart). ;D
-
Don't tempt me, I have work to do!

And the price is a near match too :o. Its suitably bonkers but not up to your black and white offerings.
