He was talking to me most of yesterday. Why are you thinking of getting it for your old age?

I had a small inkling you might!

Still it would be handy down at Tesco for the guy collecting loose trolleys.

If this machine can go over 4mph (or is it 8mph) should it not have a registration number - like the photo that I have found?

I believe you will find that invalid scooters etc. should now be registered with DVLA and usually have a Q reg number and a free tax disc showing the reg no. A number plate is not required to be attached on the vehicle. A neighbour has a scooter so decorated.

Where is the number assigned by DVLA placed then? Tattooed on the inside of the owners forearm? For you, driving fast is over!

Coming to Merseyside, this will please Richard, an art installation featuring a moving invalid carriage. Yep, your paying for this, chap. Hitchcock strikes again!

As stated, it's on the "tax disc"

Nick Devonport was the first to show one of these, umpteen years ago, and Ian Hellings has one in his collection too. For those wanting to know more about them, I refer the reader to Rum Car News issue 86 of Autumn 2005, where I've already sprouted chapter & verse about them.

And guess what, this rumour is entirely TRUE as some of the Wolverhampton cars get ready to depart to the artist and another one to elsewhere. Two others are also spoken for, so at this rate there'll only be a couple left once the final details have been sorted & the transporters have arrived. Not a bad little clearance considering the sheer quantity involved.  :)

John Gorman, a member of Scaffold, key member of TISWAS bringing the more adult and satirical humour in. Not sure what he is doing now but reputed to have retired to France. I thank you very very much.

Not sure what is the motivation behind the artwork. Very keen on keeping Hillsborough ongoing upp there. As long as its not a kop out. Celebration of Speke to the British Automobile Industry? What ever, I was pleased to lubricate a deal on behalf of buddies.

the jaguar plant - ex-Ford - at Speke just keeps going from strength to strength , now working 24 hours in 3 shifts and VERY productive . As a Ford factoryin the 70's it was semi permanent on strike - or seemed to be anyway .
mr. Gorman very art farty always seemed to be on Granada tv ( hosted by Stuart Hall ) in the 70's 80's but a bit quiet nowadays perhaps retired as you say . The Scaffold were quite talented in their seperate fields even Paul McCartneys brother Mike ( stage name Mike McGear )
But we digress , no bad thing you might say  ..........
