Title: '59 Heinkel - An eyebrow raising outcome on Evilbay
Post by: P50 on March 26, 2007, 09:51:31 PM

The final bidder has 167 positive feedbacks so must be bone fide.

I'm amazed at the final price. It needs putting together etc.

What is going on?  A seismic shift in values.  Ten grand.

Personally I've always valued a Scootacar Mk1 at twice a Treinkel based on rarity and that utterly fantastic shape.....

I actually thought my P50 was expensive a couple of years back.  Bonkers!!

Hi P50, What one were you looking at?  It went for £9880.00 and the winning bidder has only 67 positive. Just goes to show there is a lot of loose change about these days.  ;D

Yeh that raised my eyebrows as well! I know the heinkel Ireland is sought after but its still in kit form and an unknown quantity. Then of course its not sold until its paid for .

Sorry I meant 67 pos feedback.

That's enough to not be a messer.  Would you want to blot that clean record?

Is this is a dawning of a new age?  I mean 10 grand?  If you think about it one person was prepared to pay the final price and another perhaps a hundred quid less.    Market forces I suppose.  If it was utterly concours and turn key then maybe...

10k's not loose change!!  (You could buy a NOS Peel valvecap for that!! :D)

I will look in some of my old boxes then. I'm sure I have a dozen or two caps.  ;D
