;D For those of us who get out to shows rather than having the latest pc software installed that sounds an alarm every time a new micro comes up on french or german ebay,
how about a new forum category for pics of microcars at events?
Here we go...

Hi
Great, I like more pictures of the cars.
How did you get a large picture direct onto the page where you write the text?
When I have tried to do this it won't copy and paste, and when I try to do a picture that's too big or not in word format it says too large a file?
Thanks
John

I upload my photos onto photobucket.com (it resizes them automatically for you as it uploads). Then i copy and paste the image location (it's called 'IMG Code' under the relevant photo in your photbucket photo album) onto the forum post.
By the way, this is my Blotto. It's a pig to drive but I love it nevertheless

Your Blotto should be on the Register I feel, please................
By the way I too would love to see more pictures but have difficulty in getting them on to the Forum. Is there a way to transfer pictures that I have stored in My Pictures on my computer on to this page? Jean

Hi Jean,
Below is the instruction that I've posted on my triporteur forum:
If you want to start new forum categories
1) for photos of vehicles at events and
2) for photos of member's vehicles,
this is the easiest way to do it. Please feel free ot cut and paste this posting of mine to start those categories.
ie you're welcome to use the instructions below in a 'sticky' and hopefully more folks can upload pics.
Alternatively, I'm happy to amend this forum for you as above, if you want me to attend to occasional admin duties for you.

Post subject: HOW TO ADD A PHOTO TO YOUR FORUM POST
Posted: Sun Feb 25, 2007 8:11 pm
To add a photo to this (or any other) forum, you need to use a third-party website such as Photobucket.com.
Go to the website, and follow the instructions there for uploading a digital photo stored on your own computer.
If you look at Photobucket.com as an example, you'll see that under the photo you have uploaded are 3 names, in boxes titled url, tag and img. The bottom one (img) is the one you need.
IT WILL LOOK LIKE THIS:
[img http://title of your photo /img]http://blotto.jpg /img]
this is a link that picks up where your photo is stored on the internet, ie in a folder at the photobucket website.
Now start a new post in the forum (or edit one of your existing ones). Maybe add some text, eg
Hi, my name is Otto and here's a picture of my Blotto
and on a new line, add the above title of the photo that you copied from photobucket, below your relevant picture, eg
[img http://title of your photo /img]http://blotto.jpg /img]
click on PREVIEW
Miracle of miracles ...your photo appears in your posting! like this:
Hi, my name is Otto and here's a picture of my Blotto
(http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f92/groovydubber/Blottoavatar.jpg)
Essentially, a forum cannot host (store) your photo, but the title you have copied and pasted into your forum post is a link to where your photo is stored in cyberspace (in this case photobucket.com). You could link it similarly to your own website.
When you upload your photos from your computer to Photobucket it automatically resizes them to the maximum size it allows. And it's free.
If you're not yet totally familiar with internet tasks, this is a great exercise for practising and learning more about how things work inside the cyberspace engine.
Good luck!
Colin

Hi Jean,
When you say the Blotto 'should be on the register' do you mean i should just post details of it in that section of the forum, or is there some other process involved? Maybe this info is on the forum somewhere, but i couldn't find it.

Hello Colin,
Go to rumcars link at top of page or www.rumcars.org There you will find; About the register, click on and you will find a downloadable form to send to Jean. ;D

Hi
I've tried to follow the instructions to post a photo so, with any
luck, there should be a Tuk Tuk photo under my name.
Here goes...

Oh, well, that didn't work. Back to the drawing board, unless
anyone can see the photo?

If anyone is having problems uploading photos, email the photo to me at
classicfreeadsAT mac.com (replace the AT with @ )
with a caption
and I'll upload the photo for you
(Admin can marry up the photos to the owner's posts later on)

Hi Burford,
click on my page www.kabinenroller.de and select a picture you like. Click on attributes, copy where the photo is coming from and put it on your details at rum cars. You only can use a Photo which is taken from a page in the internet.
Sorry not easy to explain for me in english, but i hope you got me. ;)
