Title: Bbc evenings
Post by: richard on April 15, 2015, 08:15:46 PM
Two new programmes on the Beeb . Whilst away , again , I have been enjoying two new programmes which may be of interest if you have not already found them . Bbc 2 at 6.30 antiques roadshow detectives - the story behind some very interesting items that have sometimes low cash value but huge historical interest , followed by collectaholics at 7pm visiting various collectors and their hordes from teddy bears to classic cars - all good clean entertainment and not a clarkson in site  :) these programmes every weekday I think

collectaholics - That reminded me of another programme along similar lines, "Collectors Lot" that used to be on Channel Four about twenty years ago.

Have not seen those yet, but one Collectaholics features "Sir" Alan Buckley's huge collection of vintage drums, and a friend makes an appearance. BBC 4 have made many good programmes on science, technology, transport and history.

Saw the one last week about the Humber collection. There was even a flash of Isetta in that episode.
