Title: Discovery Channel looking for experts on invalid carriages
Post by: James_TV on August 28, 2015, 02:49:06 PM
Hi, my name is James, I work for a television production company making a program for the Discover Channel about antique restoration.

The show is about restoring antiques to their former glory by repairing or replacing irreplaceable parts by re-building them on a 3D printer!

One of the items we have is a 1930s Nelco Solocar. It's owned by a couple who always intended to restore it, but never got around to it. It was bought 20 years ago but has never run.

I'm looking for people who know how to repair these vehicles to check out this model and assist us in its restoration. It MAY be that it just needs a new battery, OR what we'd hope is that a particular part is missing (a spring, a piece of the axle est.) and we'd re-create that irreplaceable part on our 3D printer.

Can you fix Nelco Solocars? Any and all advice is gratefully received!

Thanks,
James
