Title: USA
Post by: Chris Thomas on January 03, 2016, 12:39:55 PM
Dear Forum Followers

I am planning a trip to the USA in April to visit a few private microcar collections, and wondered if there was anybody who may wish to accompany me on the trip (blonde, good figure essential). It will last 12 days and should include 6 of the best car collections in the USA.  The cost of the flights will be the main expense plus food and some accommodation.

If you would like to know more, contact me by emailing chris@rumcars.org

Will you be anywhere near Northern Indiana?

Dear Mark

Yes I will be in North Indiana on my travels, and hope to go to South Bend to see the Studebaker Museum. I know they did not make microcars, but who cares when you are on vacation/work.

I have never visited the Studebaker musuem and would be happy to join you.

Coming to Southern California?
Several good museums here, including the Nethetcut, and newly remodeled Peterson.
I presume that you are planning on visiting Jeff Lane's and Ken Weiger's Small wonders museum on your tour.
If you do come to the L. A. area, your of course will be welcome to tour my rough barn.   I should have  at least a few more running by then.

Dear Steve

Thank you for your kind offer to show me around your collection.

I am only intending to visit Illinois with skirmishes into adjacent Wisconsin and Indiana. I have no intention of overstretching myself to do 12 states in 12 days. Unlike many tourists who think they can do 12 European countries in 12 days, I will have plenty to see and many miles to drive just in Illinois.

Having been to Minnesota, Tennessee, Georgia, California, New York state and Massachusetts on previous trips, There is plenty yet to see in the USA. All in good time.
