I'm sure most will have seen that one of the Tripod prototypes - covered in RUMCar news #84 - is currently up for auction. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hesketh-Tripod-Prototype-/401092944451? (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hesketh-Tripod-Prototype-/401092944451?)

I see it didn't make reserve.

It was relisted. Final bid 2nd time around was £2150, but I don't know if it sold? Cheaper than a Bamby. Pictures seem to indicate either it was painted different colours at various times or at least two others were made, so do any others survive?

Ended at 3690 gbp.
Not so bad for having been beaten by an ugly stick.

Ah, the great British stylists. Fed on sandwiches, pies and biscuits. Lovers of the square and angular, perpendicular to the sphere. Even when curved they generally get it looking like something organic that just escaped. Invented in sheds, look like sheds, or in this case a cold frame. 'Coz it is nice a sunny I think the Italians invent on the beach. I wonder what they look at to get such beautiful shapes to there cars? 8) as opposed to :o
