Looking for a KR200
« on: February 22, 2008, 09:20:28 PM »
I am writing this because a person(s) created an email address which would point to me both in the name and the ISP domain name and then went on to create a member on the RUMCar forum called KR200.

Over the last few months it appears that an individual(s) calling themselves KR200 on the RUMCar Forum, Posted items which upset people and having an online slanging match with Peel enthusiasts to the point of one threatening to retire from the forum.
All this was not known to me until an accusation came via email on the 11th of Feb 2008. Which contained the text, "I have been told by several disassociated lots of people about an item on the RumCar Forum, everyone who has spoken to us thinks the author, hiding behind the name KR200, is you?"
Why these people think it is me is quite strange as according to the RUMCar forum administrator it appears the offenders email address was withheld from public view.  Quote from the RUMCar Forum Administrator "Certainly at least one person at the time complained to kr200 that he was being a bit cowardly by not revealing his email address,"
I am NOT the RUMCar Forum user KR200
I have never been a member of this Forum until Tue 12/02/2008 09:24.
Who is KR200?
Somebody out there must know him/them.
This KR200 has attempted to discredit my name amongst the micro car world online and off
All information will be handled in the strictest of confidence as to the identity of KR200.

I am Colin Burton

A Messerschmitt owner and enthusiast for 18 years.

I have been on the committe of the MEC for many years until recently and have organised a local microcar clubnight for something like 16 years.

Look at any of the last 16 years Messerschmitt clubs magazines and my name and email and telephone No should be in there under club nights or meetings.

Who are you?

The thing is Colin , as you have said, your details have been up in public for all to see for years and any lunatic with an aptitude for identity theft could have latched on. If it wasnt your details used it would have been Andrew Woolleys, Dave Garners or anybodies! I shouldnt worry too much, I dont think anyone on the forum cares much now, it all water under the bridge.

Sorry Bob

But I care as it is my name, that I feel is being tarnished by someone who I could possibly believe to be a fellow enthusiast

No way he could be an enthusiast, none of us would even consider doing such a thing.i had him reported because he was p""sing me off,had no idea that he might have been using your identitiy,i just thought that the individual "kr200" was himself a clown that needed removal.

Am I getting suspicious or not?

There is a new member who has just joined who has the same forum username as my Ebay username.

Mrb170?

All after our local club night where this item was discussed!
