Microcar Museum in Thailand
« on: October 26, 2008, 09:44:21 PM »
moving this part of the conversation from the Bubblecar Museum Auction thread:

If I remember correctly Artur Bohnerts is the man showing the oriental presenter (young femail interest to generate contrast between old and new, oriental and european) around the museum. So does he own the museum and who is he?

Can anybody tell me as I am thick ( unable to read German)?

More info on the museum

The phelang speaks good Thai :-

http://www.thailandtraveltours.com/news/5-jesada-technik-museum-nakhon-pathon.htm

Museum has lots of stuff, even a submarine soon.

The article does not mention Artur Bohnerts ( referred to in the previous thread) but does mention
"businessman Jesada Dejsakulrit's collection of antique vehicles"

are these guys the same person or does Artur just help acquire vehicles for Jesada?

I am interested in this as I remember back at Störy 2000 Kleinwagentreffen there was talk about a "Thai Microcar Collector" but I never saw any evidence of a Thai presence there.

I am getting the impression they are NOT the same person and Artur has his own website and Jeseda has his own website.

also- the submarine apparently sunk while being towed to Thailand -*ouch*!
it made quite a "splash" in the news.

oh and I just found the guy's business website and he has a one page link with a better "overview" of the Museum here:
http://www.chasesiam.com/activities.htm
apparently he makes Industrial Trucks and stuff.

Well, the guy in the film Artur was at the Bubblecar museum auction and it’s rumored he buys cars for the Thai museum, though I’m not sure if he has any other connection. Some of the Cars in the Museum are on that German website plus the museum is featured on another link: http://www.artura.de/pageID_767174.html as the hangers are clearly visible. Artur or Artura as known on eBay or on his website deals in Microcars and other vintage ephemera. Looks like Bruce has some competition!

oh, just noticed new thread on same subject. here's what i posted on old thread.

Artur Bohnert bought 4 vehicles via his German ebay a/c in my first http://BuyVintage.co.uk auction in March 2008.

Despite several letters saying he would come and collect and pay he never turned up and in the end we had to give up and resell them.

I think 'Artur Bohnert' is actually from Thailand and using this German name.

Hello
I will move the car to Germany, and then move to microcar museum in Thailand. Now we have about 200 micro cars. But now I am in Thailand. I will fly to Germany in next 2 weeks. Then I will go to see you for collect the car.
Now we suucess with e-bay, so you shoudn't sell to someone else. And I already order container for shipping to Thailand.
Anyway could you please give me your address and number telephone to me? I would like give money cash. I hope you understand me. In Thailand, we don't have this car. We would like to show English micro car. Please help me..
Best regard
