the whole Celebration weekend event could turn into a scene out of a slapstick comedy (name to be added) film.

Yes, I could turn up like this. Meow!

Dear Ian

This is how he dresses at home when he has had a few drinks. He likes to be called Jess the Cat, and pretends he has a friend called Postman Pat.

Don't say I did not warn you

Talking of quiet, of an evening there has not been a lot that I want to watch on TV recently. Lucky really, because the mechanic next door noticed DVD box sets of the ...........

TINTIN                            ( that caught your attention Stuart  !  )...........

cartoon series from Canada a few years ago. Boxed set 21 stories just £20 from HMV/ Amazon etc. He got a set for him, and another set which he gave me, HOORAY !!! After work I can sit in the comfy chair, play my ukulele and watch these. Sadly the makers have made a few changes, so the KR 175 and the Velam Isetta did not get in, and sadly none of the cars, planes, ships and trains are anywhere near as well drawn as Herge's originals, just proves what a master draughtsman he was.

Lovely, but just for once I will refrain from making the obvious remarks

Dear Rob

Thank you for that display of dedication to duty. I can see why they never painted the BSA Ladybird in Brown. But the shape still reminds me of something!

Hands up those who would like one on 5 April?

Dear Chris,

The last time I saw a pair like those was back in the 1950s on my bedroom door. I can still see them now in my minds eye. All the other doors in the house had lever handles but mine were round and made of bakelite.  ;D

It looks as if I shall have to bring two boxes on 5th April if everyone wants one!  :P
