woohoo, hubs are fitted!
« on: June 07, 2009, 11:25:48 PM »
Had a little problem with one of the front hubs, it was broken when i removed it from the car, looks like it had been broken for a while looking at the oxide in the crack. One of the corners broke off.

But here is the hub after welding and finishing. It dont look too pretty but at least its solid now.

And, also now, the kingpins and springs are fitted, with new bump stop rubbers and all new bolts and washers, just waiting for the brake cylinders to come through so i can reassemble the hubs.

Looks a hell of alot better then it did before. yay! Will be rolling soon.

I've never seen a Scootacar suspension before - are there no dampers at the front or is there something inside the hub where it slides on the pillar?
