The 2009 UK (Inter) National MicroCar Rally
News Update
The 35th Annual NMCR will be a 4-day event, and will be
organised by The Micro Maniacs to celebrate
the 20th Anniversary of the founding of the Micro Maniacs, now
the largest multi-make microcar club in the UK.
It will also co-incide with 20 years of the Scottish Microcar club, 60 years of the Bond Minicar and 20 years since the fall of the Berlin wall!
The dates to highlight in your diary are
Thursday 3rd to Sunday 6th September 2009 and our venue is
Ripon Racecourse – known as The Garden Racecourse –
in the pictures que and popular Yorkshire Dales.
Ripon Racecourse is only about 5 miles from junction 48 of the A1M and so is easily accessible from all parts of the country. Ripon itself is about a mile away so shopping for provisions will be easy for event visitors.
On the racecourse rally field there is a large brick building which we will have sole use of, which contains toilets, showers, light and heat, and which will be the location for our usual let-your-hair-down evening entertainment. There's also a large covered verandah which will be our venue for outdoor happenings and gatherings.
Camping costs will be £9.00 per night for tents; £ 11.00 per night for caravans, campers and motorhomes.
There’s no need to book - just turn up - with or without a microcar - you will be very welcome.
