cursor
« on: August 14, 2009, 12:16:41 PM »
Hi not sure if this will appear where I hope! first try-- I have Cursor 002 and it is now in pieces ( even more than when I bought it) Does anyone know where the front wheel cylinders were sourced from? and the front drums/wheel bearings? in fact can anyone shed any light on anything cursor?? The wiring is mostly cs50 moped, master cylinder girling and strange handbrake back cylinder escort mk1 the fr font suspension (or lack of) seems to be two valve springs each side hidden in an aeon hollow rubber donut. The speedo  ninety degree drive is missing the pinion gear-- so will always
be 0 mph---Any other owners done a rebuild?? help please then when 002 is getting better its on with my Bamby front go kart brakes and master cylinder current hold up there anyone done a mod ?? with more recent stopping tackle !
Thanks in advance

Try the website http://www.roldroyd.karoo.net/cursor/cursor.htm for information.  Unfortunately both RUMCAR NEWS isues that carried articles on the Cursor are out of print,.but the articles could be photocopied for a smalll fee.  There is quite a bit of information on Google but you need to look under Replicar Cursor.    Jean

Hi, still finding my way around the board! Thank you Jean for your suggestions-I tried the searches and the page but all too general---I have registered both my littlecars with you and you have kindly sent me the Cursor article.
Sorry to be unable to attend what looks to have been a really great microgather-due to NHS waiting. Hopefully back in full circulation before long. Today the Cursor chassis has been zip wheeled also the lower wishbones. The stress crack near an upright MIGed and other trivia fought.
I noticed that Stuart Cyphus was planning a detailed Cursor feature I do not think we have met but I may be wrong, I usually drive a yellow Isetta with a hamper containing a bubble machine on the back. Please e me if photos of every little cursor bit would be of interest. ian@surroundings.demon.co.uk  Abingdon based.

I can't help you, but good luck with it all!
