Electric three wheeler (building in progress)
« on: December 23, 2009, 04:07:05 PM »
hello all

I'm creating this post to share the building of an electric three wheeler (2F1R for specialists ;)  )

The rear wheel will motorized, only one gear (made with two heavy duty belts). My aim is not go over 450 kg with batteries. This is why I plan using a composite body shell. But before making the mold, I have to have a body ^^

@ Insight
here is the data of the motor i'll use.

the upper line is torque, lower line is HP
On simulation i've made, excel show me that I may have huuuuge acceleration from 0 to 60 km/h (less than 4 seconds in "heavy foot mode"). I'm confident on it, i've used over rated data for it (heavier, bad SCx,...)

here is some picture of the actual state of the body

I've "lost" some time doing the body. The first try of body shape, on the other side, did not please me. So I've tried an another shape, wich is better. I have to destroy the driving side and make the symmetry

here is the first shoot

say hello to granpa ^^

if you have question, commentary, advices,... fell free to post
