KV from Paris to Sarajevo
« on: August 13, 2010, 07:13:14 PM »
Fabien Hamm, the guy who drove a Willam from Paris to Istanbul last year, is now piloting a 1975 KV Mini 1 to Sarajevo.  He has already encountered some difficulties stemming from a broken drive belt but should soon be on his way again.  He's posting his progress here:

I recommend the photos, particularly those from the second day showing the roadside (well, close to the side) decoking of the exhaust system.

Superb challenge.

An update:  The KV made it to Vienna but the delays in getting parts first to replace the drive belt and later to repair the Dynastar have exhausted the allotted schedule.  Fabien has stored the car near Vienna with the intent of resuming the run in mid-October.
