Messerschmitt engine 425 is the one I have is this right?
« on: October 09, 2010, 10:41:39 AM »
I was cleaning the Tiger this afternoon and I think I have discovered the engine number 425 which is stamped at the back of the engine in very small neat numbers.

I have the engine sitting in Diesel to try to free up the frozen con rod and I have spent nearly $150.00 on nuts and bolts to bolt the lot together as many of the parts were missing,

The next step is to try to seperate the crank case halves and test the starter generator if I can find the wiring diagram and the Regulator box,

I assume the cars are positive earth and 12 volts? please let me know if I am wrong as I don't wish to damage the starter as there apears to be nothing wrong with it.

I have no idea how the points ignition works as that part appears to be missing, so I suppose I need to join the Messerschmitt owners club again.

Hmmm? 425(X) Tg engines always have 4 numbers. Please have a look again.
Thank you
