I know there's a Goggo setup on Jim's Story DVD, not sure if there's any Schmitts though.

I've not seen a seen a Messerschmidt, but I have seen a converted Corgi Reliant Regal - although it wasn't done very well! I also know that Tri-ang made a prototype Isetta for their Minic Motorways range although sadly that never made it into production. I would have thought the 1/24 Gunze-Sangyo kit would be very easy to convert.

Alternatively, you could always try making a slot track for your Nobel?

Yes Scalextrics Messerschmitts have been done. I think they were made up from a plastic kit when they were available separately as originally they were sold as a pair partnered with an Isetta. I think this was Gunze-Sangyo as previously mentioned. They did not work well as the rear wheel ran on the pick up area so the car tended to be always at an angle skidding off the lack of grip it provides. That was with a wide wheel. With scale size the car jammed into the contact. At the time Tiger kits were unavailable in that size. Being pretty good at modeling (get you, dear) I could have converted some kits but was not motivated. Not sure who had them. Mike Cooper? He was certainly a demon competitor at Scalextric. We held several Scalextric meets in the Bristol area and he wiped the floor with us, even when given the worst viable car!

A Reliant, on the other hand, benefits from a single front wheel which can be off the track and substituted with the pick up. So Bond racing is likely to be better than Schmitt racing. Never thought you would hear that statement!
