Literature about the Heinkel engine
« on: January 29, 2011, 07:57:47 PM »
Is there like a book or manual or something that's reasonably easy to get hold of that goes into detail about the engine as found in Heinke bubble cars?

It just occurred to me that I have absolutely no idea about how the Heinkel engine works, even basics. I guess I could take mine apart and have a look, but I would rather see it on paper first. Need to find a manual or something. Do they exist?

I know a similar engine was used in scooters, but it had different parts, no reverse, etc. Does any publication exist dealing specifically with the car engine?

Hi Adi
Join the Heinkel Trojan Club Ltd they have reprinted manuals for the cars most of which is the engine, thay, also have copies of books on the background of the cars and an excellent spares service - this site is for the unusual micro cars like the Nobel 200, Frisky, Scootacar, and Peel etc etc.

I thought this site was just for microcars in general, since non of them are exactly 'usual'? And anyway, this seems to be the UKs top (by default?) forum for microcars.

Do the heinkel club even have a forum?

Hi Adi
It does but specific enqiuries like yours have to be addressed by the specialist clubs - Our name says it all the Register of Unusual Microcars !!!

Look under Heinkel Trojan Club Ltd.

look for the Heinkel Trojan Club
there does not appear to be a forum but their parts list shows a workshop manual.
Is that not what you were looking for in the first place?  It may not deal specifically with the engine but at least it is something.
or go their site and send off an email asking if they have a forum available someplace.
