Not really microcar (although there is an Isetta near the end) but definitely What Ho!

I say, what rather spiffing moving pictures, and how awfully jolly decent of you to post them here, old boy!

The TG 500 looks particularly fine.

Nice to see renewed interest in the Pathe Archive, newer members won't know this but I rigorously search the archive a few years back and compiled my findings here: http://s286.photobucket.com/home/micr0film

Jonathon recently posted the Nobel Vicky clip which was my first find but since then have discovered loads more, including another Nobel clip, for those interested my original RUM post is here: http://www.rumcars.org/forum/index.php?topic=1331.0

^ Yup, I remember your ones! It's great to see these Pathe films, each one with its own historical interest: cars, trucks, buses & coaches, motorcycles, and buildings and road layout. Plus old shop names which have gone.

That fellow in the red Triumph Herald was an idiot!

A timely film of Calne etc as this was where the National was held. Being from this part of the country I know this road well so all rather interesting. It would be possible to do a modern version attempting the same route. Not sure there is quite enough meat to pull it off into something really watchable though.

The Isetta is a Vellam.
Messerschmitt set, Goggo Darts, Heinkel 175, Fiat Jolly, Autobianchi, Fairthorpe Electron Minor, Borgward, Isuzu Trooper
Citroen BX 17TZD & GTI 16v
Held - MG Magnette ZB & 4/44
For sale - Vellam Isetta, Bamby, AC Type 70, Velorex, Church Pod, Reliant Mk5, KR200,  Saab 96, Bellemy Trials, Citroen BXs

The one you called "Unkown ?" seems to be a rolux, but with a different rear end, so maybe a proto?

Thanks I wasn't sure, anyone else want figure out the other unknown ones? Unfortunately Pathe has since upgraded their site, with previews only available to download at cost since they want you to view everything on site, pity about the excessive advertising though. Just as well I compiled these for anyone to download, crap quality but free!

I like the footage of Eyles driving through Chippenham. I have driven along that very road on my drum car.

Yeah, I saw it a while back

I love that clip anyway regardless of the Nobel. There are still more clips waiting to be discovered, I know for a fact there is a tourist information film with a red Berkeley driving round a Greek Island, lost the link when the site upgraded and have been after it ever since, there are also some Gordon ones, Jean has a VHS copy of the test drve, though I have yet to find it online, happy hunting.  ;D

never seen this messerschmitt before?!

Lol, it looms like the bottom half of an Avolette!

I recognise it... They made a few Mokuli lookalikes, I think 3 models.

FMr also made a Go Kart! I need to get one ;) Wynford found one at Mannheim I think!

The FMR Kart was a great find and includes modified bits of KR200 and Tiger. It ran on one or two ILO engines as was the practice in the early days. The big problem Wynford had was to find the correct transfer casing and gearing for the units so as to have a matched set. The strange thing about the finding of the Kart was that many Schmitters saw it but assumed it was home made. It was only on consulting Heiner Plake (spelling) that we were convinced it should be bought. Later the word went out and Hieko made a very serious attempt to buy the Kart but Wynford is a serious FMR/Sachs collector too so no deal was done between the two of them. I still await the Tro-Kart / FMR Kart showdown. I have a Progress Kart but I have never worked out if this is linked to the micro/scooter Progress sources.
