I am pleased to see your dad has supplied you with detached accommodation Jonners!

Had Ian Hellings staying this week and we were commenting on the difference in the weather from last yours blizzards etc to this years 7th frost here two nights ago. Indeed it was the first really cold day when I had to sort out Heinkel cylinders and pistons for two engines I am building. Handling all that cold metal sent me shuttling into the kitchen to the Aga a few times to get my fingers back. Hope it is milder today as I have a Trienkelnaut here to fit a set of second hand screens out of the stash. That could be a chilly job too.

Well Alan, we had about 50 tomatoes ripening on our 7 plants into December. We finally picked them on the 2nd, just in case a sudden frost damaged them. They are now finishing off ripening in brown paper bags in my Camera Protea.

Yesterday here was very sunny, and some warmth in the sun but cool air, I had the covers off DUF for airing and light maintenance, but by 2pm it was getting really cold, so covers went back on and I retreated inside.
