i am selling a villiers 8E 4 speed engine on ebay now. one of the potential bidders , in London , contacted me to say he bought an engine recently for his motorcycle only to find it had 3 speeds and reverse !! it sounds to me like a Gordon engine 8ER - is it of use to anyone - i believe some tourettes had this gearbox
