1961 Messerschmitt KR200 cabrio restoration project
« on: July 20, 2012, 07:35:43 PM »
I bought this kr200 project off Wynford last year with the intention of restoring a 2nd Messerschmitt after restoring my 57 this year.
Reluctantly I have decided to sell this.
This is a project that contains the major parts to build a complete Messerschmitt.
This is a breakdown of what is there...
The body tub is excellent and has been restored. The floor and sides have been replaced, and is in grey primer.
The front section needs some work, I have a new floor for it, the inner arches have had some repair. Someone has fitted tiger headlamp pods, I have a pair of kr pods if someone wants to replace these.
Back end, good condition
Upper lifting section needs some work but I have a new rh hinged section, new hinge and a panel for lh side.
Engine, complete with casings, needs stripping and rebuilding, crank turns ok
Engine frame, black box, rear wheel, chain case etc, front suspension, brakes, front wheels, steering column, front seat, rear seat, gearshift lever, handbrake lever, pedal assembly etc etc. Pr fibreglass wings, sidelights, rear lamp pods
Buff log book
There are more bits than I have listed here. I am located 40 miles of London
I am not sure how to post pictures here so emails me for details

Now on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120953472952
