Never heard that name before, sounds like a restaurant in a Scottish city!

;D Yep you get him the tunnocks and I will get him a card.  Now wait until nov 18th before presenting the old v5 at local dvla to register it on the road (pre 1960 no mot req ) - whois best for insurance nowadays ?

I will be interested to see if it is as simple as that. So the Gordon becomes the lab rat of the new system.

Yes, I was wondering that, I also have a 59 vehicle with the latest type V5 which hasnt been on the road since the sixties, will I be able to just insure and tax it?  No one appears to know the answer yet.

There was mention that in fact the only way of doing this for free without loads of paperwork and an MOT test is to use the Fair Isle LVO (open 4 days a year except in leap years) where you need to arrive in person with your car. I should note that those days are ones when the ferry does not stop at Fair Isle. But as in all new Government policy, to see fair play, you do have the choice.
