Not sure I can afford the entrance money? Plus looking at a couple of Commer double knocker buses for a chum on Sat and MEC AGM on Sunday. Think the MEC could do with a double knocker up their... any way moving on swiftly, lunch will be good in great pub. The MEC likes good pubs.

Still, sounds like a lot of Bubblers will be at the NEC to take the option of getting out and about after a few months cooped up. I assume the NMRC are having a stand and this year can promote the venue of next years event. Should help to create more interest from perhaps less attached car owners. Should therefore be an interesting day or two with surprise buddies lurking here and there.

We are being taken seriously by the Classic Car world.

The Classic and Sportscar awards for the NEC show have taken place this evening.

The award for the "most interesting selection of cars on a stand" goes to the NMCR stand.

For a stand that includes the folowing

Zundapp Janus
Fuldamobil S4
Gogomobil coupe
Frisky Sport
Bond Mark A
Messerschmitt KR 200
BMW 700 coupe

Many thanks has to go to the organisers (Ray & Jenny Dilks) and the people who have provided their cars for four days including the setup day Thursday.

It has also been noted that a few companies are now using microcars to attract people to their stands, examples Isetta, Trabant and an Enfield probably a little more interesting than the usual Classic Cars.

For those who are going on Sat or Sun it is BIGGER than ever!

nor can Ray ! :D
it was very nice but not quite finished although to the uninformed it looked pretty well there. for some reason i was shattered a hard week away at work and a 6am start meant that by 4 I was off, back home by 5.45 a very quick run home indeed. family 21st tonight so mustering reserves now.
very nice and interesting stand well done indeed , the NMCR stand being next door to on one side the isetta club and on the other side Heinkel Trojan meant that within say 400 square metres apart from the marques already mentioned there were Isetta, BMW 600, BMW 700, Berkeley, Bambi, Heinkel and Trojan - WOW ! met all the usual culprits and enjoyed myself
