I think that pic was in the powerdrive issue of RUMcars.

I don't know why they made them aluminium, it's hardly a sports car, and probably cheaper to build out of fibreglass !
Cars: Messerschmitt KR200, Nobel 200
Mopeds:
- Peugeot BB3SP, BB3T, BB3 "BITZA", BB VT, BB104,  TSA, Bima Luxe,
- Motobecane: 50V, M7 SL, 51 Club, EV50
- Other mopeds: Malaguti Superquattro, Solex 2200, Puch Monza, Puch Maxi

the aluminium version weighed more than 8 cwt - and driving one hardly sets the world on fire - imagine the fibreglass one at 10 cwt or more!

A powerdrive is an absolute pudding to own and drive - ask me how I know ...

They're great for the Fens but hardly appropriate for Scotland ...

the Powerdrive was overweight, even with an aluminium body! Frankly, they're massive!

I could fit an XK150 on that trailer, and it wasn't much bigger than the Powerdrive, except it has eleven times the cubic capacity!

easy for me to say as i don't have one . it's still a great example of a truly British eccentricity - and rare ! i would love a ride in one - but can they carry two ?  ;)

they can carry three on the bench seat, 4 at a push if it was two kids and two adults.

Doubt it could push 40mph downhill though!
