A faster moped has been purchased today in order to make a quicker get-away (and climb hills).  Watch this space.

Don't get too excited.  It's only a small step-up from a Runabout.
Been in a shed for 17 years so looks pretty rough but it is all original.

1974 vintage..............Pen has just run out

Mmmmm!  There's not many mopeds that start with a P, It's usually half way around the run, in some trees!  ;D

Here is the new machine..........................Hmmm (Starts with a P).

Also picked-up a power pack (and a newer Moped but more about that when it arrives home - home rapidly becoming a junk yard)

Ah, I had a friend with one of these. He always had trouble starting it - I told him the advertising for it should say - Why walk when you can Puch?

Oh a Power Pak. The very first vehicle I bought for four pounds ten shillings (£4.10s.00d or £4.50p) in 1961, fitted to a 28 inch wheeled ex-police bicycle.
Here's a tank for one on ebay, number 370949675333

A three gear and a two gear. The two gear one is all in pieces, the three gear is the famous blue and yellow cabbage field bike.

I wanted an MS50D like my second moped in 1975 - green.
My friend Tony had a VS50 like my new one - his was two gear.
Our first ever holiday away from parents at the age of 16 was to Clacton from Rochford Essex.
Getting up Maldon hill with a tent and a full weeks kit bag on the back was quite a challenge on the way back - the three gears was so much better than two.
Ran out of money and then ran out of juice just as we got home.

Should I settle for the VS and do it up or wait for a green MS?
The new one seems to have waxoil all over it but it is still pretty knackered underneath.

Funny enough my cabbage crusher is green and cream under the dulux! Why was the three speed so much better, on my three speed the first gear is so low I pull away in second, I could only ever see me using first if I was carrying a passenger and going up a steep hill!
