Don't drink alcohol beverage, gave it up when I was 15 after a drunken ride on my bicycle.  ;D

Now Ovaltine, that's different. Usually have it about 2 am. A large mug full, five spoons of chocolate flavoured, mixed with two spoons of coffee mate and two spoons of sugar in hot water. Just the stuff to help have a good kip.  8)
Ain't got nuffink now except memories.

Cows, we got stuck behind one for 25 minutes when I was in a hurry to catch the last train back to London.

That's not the way to talk about women drivers!

thanks al it's fine it always niggles but rarely like it used to all those years ago . now wheres my claim form for whiplash  ;) - actually a pet subject of mine , apparently insurance companies expect it with every bump and £2000 odd is uncontested ! i will NOT be putting in such a claim - i think the whole whiplash thing is usually nonsense , who had ever heard of it 25 years ago ?

The only whiplash I heard of in 1989 and earlier is something scantily clad ladies of the night used on their clients?  :-[

It used to be a standing joke in American comedy, The Fortune Cookie with Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau being a notable example. Difficult to understand why its treated with such reverence.
