Ginetta G26
« on: February 27, 2014, 11:52:53 AM »
The last you heard of this car it had just come back form Wirrle (Liverpool). well it hasn't sat around derelict, now it has had allot of work done on it since then and we hope to have it on the road by May.
The scratches have been repaired and lots of new and original parts fitted, and the original rims have been sprayed gold. The only problem we have it that the timings are out really badly and so now it wont start and we don't have the tools to fix it.So if anyone knows a good call out mechanic in Kent please let me know.

Yes anyway, the car you got from Liverpool where Richard lives ;)
So you got the timing belt back on in the wrong position? Oooo last time I did that I bent a valve.
Mind you if you are only a tooth out either way you should be ok. It may even be an engine that is designed in such a way that when the belt breaks the valves don't come into contact with the pistons. Which engine is it? Is it a Ford?
