How do you alter something in Forum settings?
« on: March 23, 2007, 07:55:37 PM »
OK everybody, showing my ignorance with computers here, but how  ??? do some of you attach alternative pictures to the "picture" section in the profiles of yourselves?  By which I mean P50 with his Fisher Price Toys picture and Trident with that Blue Trident for example. I've tryed everything I can think of to do the same with me, but it's got me beat  ???. Anyone round here want to be lovely and give us a step-by-step walk-through?  :-*

Click the PROFILE button
Click "Forum Profile Information" (on the left side)
Now in the Middle you have a choice:  PERSONALIZED PICTURE or I HAVE MY OWN PIC (and you put in the address )

The pic has to be  cropped SQUARE though, or it will get squished into a Square Shape.
It also has to ON the Internet already someplace and you just link to it.  You can't "upload" the "avatar" as it is called, to the Forum.  (well, not in any way I can explain...)

I just made one for myself.  Its my Goggo Transporter in the backyard.

If you have one you want made, email me the image or show me what one you want to use.
I can alter it and host it so you can use it if you want.

I always wondered why you have a picture of Freddie Mercury against your name Stuart?
Unless of course that is you - a dead ringer so to speak. Or is it a hint as to something else you have in common?
Perhaps he drove Tippen Delta!

I think the answer would have to be "something else in common". That and his was the only sensible picture in the list to my mind.

Hi,
Put in the address? This seems to be the problem for some of us. Does this have to be a linked to somewhere else?

yep.

that is why I suggested to Stuart that he find an image he wants and I will crop it square and make it available online somewhere and just give him the address to paste into the Profile and it will show up.
I'd be happy to do this for anyone else who wants it done, just send me a Private message, or email me, my email is visible in my Profile.
