Eclair

Do we like this one?
We have had 'Plane cars' before but this one could also be a microcar?

Ridiculous, impractical and dangerous...I love it! It does not appear to have any mounting places for wings and tailplane, so perhaps just a propeller driven car. Certainly "Rare" and "Unusual", but perhaps border-line on "Microcar"

Seeing as it appears to be French it could be based on a D'Yrsan, Sandford/Morgan or Darmont.

^ Yup. There have been several propeller powered cars and other vehicles, particularly in Russia and France, but all that I have seen have had guards over the props. One even had a single steering wheel at the back...Ground Loops on busy public roads? ..... Not my idea of fun!

Propbably unrelated, but Georgano lists an Éclair cyclecar manufactured in Courbevoie between 1920 and 1923 powered by an Anzani V-twin with shaft drive. The Lane museum put details of the propeller car on their site back in 2011 which says it's powered by an Indian V-twin. It would nice to know if they've finished it yet.

Thanks Malcolm.  It would be good to see (and hear) the final result.

Whoever it was, I hope they did not expect that small propeller to provide enough power to move a car and driver!

Nom, what time shall I arrive to help you eat them? No need to defrost any more than 20 for me.

I call them chocy messerschmitts. Also got some chocy heinkels, aka tunnocks teacakes. Get down here soon before they all go.  ;D

So, you have 24 Eclairs AND Tunnocks Tea Cakes, yet your motto says "Ain't got nuffink". Sounds to me like you have plenty!
