Friday 17 October was D Day for JDM. They have now passed into liquidation along with Mia, meaning the first of the French Quadricycle and Sans Permis companies has disappeared, and others may follow.

Aixam was purchased by Polaris, Ligier and Microcar have joined forces, leaving Bellier and Chateney the two small independents vulnerable.

I wonder what will happen to the Italian Quadricycle manufacturers like Casallini, and Grecav?  Time will tell.

This news follows closely on the heels of Going Green going bust! This was the distributor of the G-wiz. Looks like the days of the modern micro are numbered.

Sad news for JDM but also GreCav had problems with an initial bankruptcy in 2012, see article:

It seems now they've gone back to manufacturing tractor components.....with reference to Casalini, no news, but only that of a new model:
