Just went out and looked at mine, it has a plated steel nut and no fancy cover. Not saying this is correct.
Since I have owned the car I've been slowly correcting all the mistakes and bad workmanship inherited from the previous owner. Still have some way to go!

They don't look right without the blue and white badge.

Has your car got an original wiper(s)? I know a lot of owners tend to fit mini ones.
