Thank goodness they were saved ! All those years ago by you old fellas  ;D and cameras to prove it . Bring on the photos please . It's never been easier to take a photograph BUT where will all today's images be in 40 years time ? There's is a lot to be said for a printed photograph on paper !

HEY not so much as the old - you'll be there one day  ;D - us oldies are as young as we feel   8) , as for the camera - not like to-days must haves Canons and Nikon's (retirement prezie's to yourself) just a plain 127 Brownie and most black & white on Gratispool from Glasgow with paper negatives - but over the years the negs have faded and been binned , but some photos survived !
must go through my movies next.

Nuff' sed' here's the D reg G tourer  ... the colour photo was  from a slide , hence the distortion .
bough it a couple of days before Mr Ported arrived at ours - he was horrified , but it stayed till the Plas arrived , then sold on .

I've tried to fix some of the distortion for you. Worth mentioning that modern scanners and software can sometimes recover an image from very faded negs - particularly black and white - that you might not be able to make out with the naked eye. Always worth a try if the image is important.

Interesting that for some time the car existed on yellow non reflective front number plate , why I wonder ? I don't think you would last long nowadays before being pulled over

regards the no plate , it was a self adhesive on that you stuck on the bonnet in those day's ( boy racer stuff nowadays ) ,  that said in those days some one had a habit of varnishing thing's this could be the yellowish tint , it would have been varnished to stop the self adhesive letters getting nicked  :o
had the car for about 10 year averageing 14000 a year .

tidying up in the garage to-day looking for spares I came across the original from new No plate off  CDC 90C & the torg' cover , the cover was useful as the car flexed a lot with the hood down ,  when the torg' was 'doted' up it  seemed to tighten the chassis flex and stop the doors from popping open !

I am sure the current owner would love the plate  :) actually I wouldn't mind a peep myself as my tourer is C as well . I presume the plate standard silver on black stamped , seperate plastic letters a bit older style by then ? With a border ? Etc.
