Memorial Day, Bruce Weiner Museum
« on: February 10, 2015, 09:00:10 AM »
It is to be Memorial Day Weekend (?) at the Bruce Weiner Museum over the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of May 2015. This will include a tour of the Museum and an opportunity to buy spares etc. from the attached workshop facility. There are to be drive outs, meals, and, lastly, an auction of cars.

I think that might answer a few questions made a while ago, but it also represents an opportunity to visit what is still a great concentration of microcars. Might be it clashes with Manrasa, Spain.

Dear Al

Manresa Spain is 6 and 7 June. Plenty of time for you to fly direct to Barcelona from Atlanta Georgia, while the Butler drives down with the Schmitt and the Shopper in the Mercedes Van

Sorted

So here is more detailed info. Seeing as unless the gas boiler blows up I am not planning to fly anywhere this year, I will give you happy hobbits details of a grabbit opportunity.

The plans have now been finalized for the meet May 22,23 & 24 in Madison Ga.

The event will start on Friday morning May 22 at 9 am with a meet and greet at the museum. We will stay there until time for lunch, which will be a drive into town for eating on your own at one of the many local eateries. We will gather back up at the square on 2 pm for an extended drive back to the museum.

Sat morning May 23 we will again meet at the museum. We will have a microcar show with trophies awarded. At 10 am the museum is going to set up all the micro car parts, literature and misc models and toys and offer them for sell. It will start with set prices for the stuff, but prices will fall as the hours pass. Bruce has no plans of putting the stuff back into the buildings. Bruce says to come with a trailer, because it is leaving his place. Just for you to know, there is a ton of Messerschmitt parts and they are going to sell for some price.

The evening meal will be cater there and followed by the microcar auction. Any yes you have to be on site to bid.

By next week we will have entry forms that we will be able to mail or email to you. You have to be registered in order to buy parts or to enjoy the free evening meal.
