Nobel Badge
« on: April 04, 2015, 12:35:18 PM »
As bonnet badges have been a recent topic of discussion I thought I would show my new Nobel badge that arrived this morning. Not perfect but good enough and in the light of the impossible prospect of finding an old original more that good enough!

Be fabulous to have a Nobel with or without badge Bob. Looking forward to seeing the finished project.

the badge looks good , as for the Nobel my last recollection of one was sitting upside down head on the roof lining , and two passers by righting the car after rolling over ,
if you had to do the timing , you would not be so enthusiastic  ;D

The Nobel register had them made. If you need one have a chat with Mike.

You must be a terrible driver Alan! ;D
Despite the popular misconception I'm not actually owning or restoring a Nobel, all will be revealed latter this year.
I had one back in 1976 and another in the 90's and I know what you mean about points and timing, you have to take the engine out which doesnt actually take a great deal of time or effort as the swing arm with engine attached can be wheeled out of its rump after undoing a few bolts and cables. I remember doing it on a couple of occasions in pretty short time. Bonkers that you have to though, I agree!  Dont remember getting anywhere near rolling one though, I thought that was the speciality of Bonds?  My main complaint about Nobels would have to be the lack of power.

I think that is the last of the Nobel Register repro badges, if its on the car from me Wilksie.

Yep, I could believe rolling a Nob, after its self steering episode. Sorry, not a car for me. Steve Mandell is currently doing his Nob timing, not without problems. I think he has it sorted now.

Whoever wins the privilege to provide TLC here, will need a new badge for it. And probably a lot more.  ;)
