Our sister Forum
« on: June 26, 2015, 10:18:01 AM »
I am rather sad to think that the postings on this Forum seem to be diminishing It would seem that more and more people appear to prefer the new one. I do hope this does not mean 'divided we fall', I fear overseas members may lose interest.  Jean

I am afraid that I am currently not a very regular visitor to either, too many other commitments!

Don't worry Jean this one goes very quiet from time to time , actually it has been a while since we heard much from other parts of Europe isn't it . Bob and "Shelley " are keeping the other busy

Not sure why two sites doing the same thing is better than one, but I guess it depends what you want, ultimately. For me it defuses effort, which is why I think we are long past the point of requiring a British Microcar Club. Seems, instead, most want more individual organisations still, making it ever harder to get folk together to do really useful things.

I realise how uninformed I am about more modern microcars, after looking on several foreign classified advertising sites while helping someone out. There is a whole new world out there I have heard next to nothing about. Boy are we out of date in the UK. That might be why we are not getting referenced in the world conversation! But then the foot dragging over certain other topics would suggest a reluctance to gen up, even just to be sure of not participating, in new areas of opportunity opening up that is Microcar, in the generalised sense of the word.

I dont think its made a haputh of difference. Most folk signed up to the new one are not even on Rumcars.
It was really only started as a learning exercise but as those using it seem to like  it I will keep it going. Besides, there is kind of an agenda, baring in mind Jim only took on the Rum forum temporarily until a home grown person with experience could bring it home so to speak I may at some stage in the future with some more experience behind me be able to volunteer for that job.
Meanwhile some of us are have a little fun with it.

That sounds like a well thought out plan Bob. Jim does a great job (cheers Jim!), but my understanding was that he did not want to continue forever. It's great to know there is a possible alternative if/when the time comes.
