Cilla
« on: August 03, 2015, 07:37:35 PM »
This is off topic but where I was born ( not in Liverpool , but nearby ) Cilla and Merseybeat , Beatles etc. are a major part of my life . Many remember Blind Date and Surprise Surprise but I never really had any time for either . For me if you want real Cilla just google mucky kid Cilla and you will get the original Scouse girl singing the " Liverpool lullaby " still makes me cry and especially now . Take cynicism from your heart and remember the simple early sixties

Never a great favourite as a performer, but she seemed to have remained pretty true to her roots, while enjoying her success. Just hope the dustbin press do not try and dig up any dirt. Is it so wrong to want stars that you can love as a sort of mascot of your times? So many sell out, or turn out to be unpleasent people. I am a dreadful cynic but I cannot think of a bad word to say about her.
