Mystery microcar
« on: August 14, 2015, 11:15:34 PM »
This isn't one of those "here's an obscure microcar that I know the name of - do you?" questions.

Instead it's a "here's an obscure (prototype?) microcar that I saved some photos of, but know absolutely nothing else, except that it's Italian - what is it?" questions.

From the book Die Grosse Enzyklopadie Der Kleinen Automobile:
ISSI (Istituto Scientifice Sperimental Industriale) of Mailand developed similar but different 1952 and 1953 models of the Microbo 125.

I know someone in Italy who has one that is being restored.
I have pics of it someplace that are not handy at the moment.

Nice photo. So is the young lady asking directions, been caught speeding or receiving a parking ticket?

So is the young lady asking directions, been caught speeding or receiving a parking ticket?

I believe the young Charles de Gaulle is about to write down the young lady's telephone number in the hope of later obtaining a rendez-vous, and possibly even a little how's your father.

Though as it is a Microbo she is driving, that might get him a 'souvenir of London' as well.

Thanks for the edumacation*.

More stylish than a Scootercar.

I reckon the woman is saying "Well Officer, if you don't have the time or inclination I think that cyclist does".
Just remember: as one door closes behind you, another slams in your face

And not "Well, I always ate up all my greens as a child and, as you can see, that does make you grow big and strong, particularly in the chest"?
